Grown at an altitude of 5,413 feet, the Geisha cherries benefit from the unique microclimate of the Dipilto Mountains. The natural processing method enhances the bean's inherent qualities, resulting in a cup profile that is both complex and harmonious. Tasting notes reveal a delightful interplay of floral jasmine, ripe berries, bright citrus, and a creamy milk chocolate finish, complemented by subtle hints of apple and caramel.

That story began with Olman’s father, Don Luis Emilio Valladarez, who produced coffee for 66 years and is one of the most influential figures in Nicaraguan specialty coffee. From his first farm to the ten farms the family operates today, his vision laid the foundation for excellence, with Los Alpes emerging as the crown jewel. Across nine farms in Nueva Segovia and one in Madriz, the family has mastered state-of-the-art processing while remaining the world’s largest producer of maracaturra, a treasured coffee variety in Nicaragua.

This dedication has earned global recognition. For two consecutive years, Los Alpes captured first place in the Presidential category of the Cup of Excellence for their breathtaking natural Geisha.
