Los Angeles, CA. July 29, 2024 -  Angelino’s Coffee has set a new benchmark in the coffee industry by becoming the first company to purchase four 1st place coffees in a single season. This groundbreaking achievement was solidified at the recent Costa Rica Cup of Excellence (COE) Auction, where Angelino’s secured the coveted #1A and #3 top coffees.

This landmark win highlights Angelino’s Coffee's commitment to sourcing the highest quality beans and its passion for exceptional coffee. As they set the standard in the coffee industry with unparalleled flavors and unforgettable experiences, this achievement at the COE Auction underscores their dedication to excellence and their ambitious plans for future successes.

The #1A coffee, from Don Cayito Farm, is a honey-processed Geisha variety that scored 93.62 with a winning bid of $82.30 per pound. The #3 coffee, sourced from Quebrada Grande Farm, is a traditional washed San Roque coffee that scored 90.46. Both of these Costa Rican coffees have earned Presidential Awards, a special honor reserved for samples scoring over 90 points.

The Cup of Excellence (COE), based in Portland, Oregon, holds prestigious coffee competitions in 11 countries to honor top small-lot coffees. These coffees are rigorously evaluated through multiple cupping sessions by both local and international judges. Winning coffees undergo strict testing to ensure their superior quality.
